Best Brushes Yet?
Duo-fibre face brush
This brush is incredible for blusher. I know it's technically a 'face' brush but I started using it to do my blush and I love it! The brilliant thing with this brush is that it never allows you to apply too much product and I think this is because of the type of bristles that are used. When using this brush, it ensures you add just the right amount of product for a lovely glow! I mean you could obviously use this for your face, but I personally prefer it for my blusher!
Cheek brush
So I've been a bit cheeky (get it?) here as well, because as you can see, I use the face brush for my cheeks, so as you can probably guess, I use the cheek brush for my face! This is probably my favourite brush out of the five in the set and It almost reminds me of a large expert face brush. The bristles aren't too condensed which means it doesn't make your makeup look cakey which is definitely a plus! This brush is also great for applying power even if you haven't used liquid foundation as it helps give amazing coverage!
Base shadow brush
This brush is just perfect for applying eye shadow, even though it says 'base' I find it is great for just applying it but also blending it in. I use this all over my eye but mainly to layer the base eyeshadow which I guess is what it's meant for! As this is nice size brush, you could probably get away with using for under-eye concealer because it is so soft and blends with ease.
Angled shadow brush
this brush is PERFECT for applying eyeshadow to the crease of your eye because it is slanted so fits into the crease to add shadow and depth. Like the base shadow brush, this is really good for blending out eyeshadow and also layering it. The brush is so so soft so makes it very pleasant to apply eyeshadow with. It also applies the makeup really smoothly and doesn't make it look cakey and unprofessional.
Eyeliner brush
Much like the first two brushes, funnily enough I don't use this brush for my eyeliner, I use it for my brows. I find that as this brush is so small and fine, it makes your eyebrows look more natural which is the look I tend to go for. I also use this brush for small detail along my lash line because it is so small you can be really precise! The reason I don't use it for eyeliner is because I'm not a huge fan of gel liner, however I have previously used it for lining my eyes with a black shadow and then blending it out to give lovely smokey look!
Even though I got these as a Christmas present, I know that they are sold at £20 online and in boots and super drug which I think it an incredible price for the quality of the products! I would highly recommend these brushes as you could very easily get away with creating a whole makeup look with just these five brushes! sorry it's been so long but I hope you have enjoyed this post and I should hopefully be back very soon!

O.P.I 'Turn on the Haute light' review
Hello my lovelies! Once again, I am so sorry it's been a while but I'm back now and should be posting more frequently as it's the holidays! So, back to beauty, today I am going to be reviewing one of my new favourite products, which is a nail lacquer by O.P.I. After going many years without any O.P.I nail varnishes, I was over the moon when I got this one. It is a lovely metallic silver with tiny specs of glitter, PERFECT for Christmas! The colour is called 'Turn On The Haute Light' and it is super easy to apply because of the shape of the lid and brush. Whenever wearing nail varnish, I always wear two coats just to make it as opaque as possible, but with this you only need one. However, wearing two can make your manicure last a lot longer. One other thing I love about this polish is that it lasts a long time without chipping so you don't have to frequently go over it hundreds of times! It is sold at £11.95 on the O.P.I website but it can be cheaper depending on your choice of shop. I would highly recommend this nail varnish, especially for the holiday season as it goes with almost anything and is very festive!

Topshop lookbook
Hello everyone! it's been far too long, and for that, I apologise. I have been very busy lately with work and then I wasn't very well for a few days, but now I'm back, ready and raring to go! So today I thought I would do something slightly different to the normal makeup posts I have been doing, so I decided that I would spice things up a little, and talk all about clothes! More specifically, topshop clothes. I have been shopping in topshop for about two years now so have purchased quite a few items, and today I will be going through a few of my favourite things! Hope you enjoy!
I think that most girls that have ever worn topshop jeans will agree with me when I say that topshop jeans are the best jeans ever. Over 2 years, I have gotten through 4 pairs of jeans and not once have I been disappointed. Topshop have a huge variety of styles, from the normal Leigh jeans, to the mom jeans. They also have a large variety of colours, and I have a dark blue/denim colour. The jeans I have currently are the high waisted jonie jeans and they are so comfortable as they are mainly made out of Lycra, making them very wearable. These were £36 which I think is very reasonable compared to some other brands like brandy Melville or Levis!
I got this coat last year as a Christmas present from my parents and it had definitely been well worn! This is my favourite winter coat as it is very warm and has the most amazing fluffy hood to keep your head warm and toasty. It has lots of pockets which is very handy for keeping my phone and gloves in so I don't always have to carry a big bag around with me. I got the navy blue colour but I think it comes in a burgundy red as well. At £60, I think you get your money's worth and more!
The jumper I am wearing is one of the basic knitted jumpers and mine is a pale blue colour. Topshop jumpers are extremely warm and comfortable, including this one! I wear it all the time and I throw it on with almost anything! this was £42 which yes, is quite pricey, but this has lasted over a year so I think it is definitely worth it!
This jumper is a new buy for me and I am absolutely loving it! this is a low v necked knit jumper and at the moment I am living in it! this is perfect for everyday wear as it is very plain but looks amazing! They also have a lot of different colours and I just went for the light grey. This was £38, which again, like the other jumper is rather pricey but I had a voucher and thought 'why not!'
I paired this jumper with Topshops plain black leggings which are £12, but very good quality. I have repurchased these countless times and still love them! They have lots of different types but I think these are just the normal, original ones.
I got this beautiful dress especially for my cousins Christening back in October, but thought it would be the perfect dress for any formal occasion (I mainly had christmas in mind!) The picture doesn't show it too well, but it is a lovely dark, bottle green colour and is made out of a really soft stretchy material making it super easy and comfortable to wear. I just wore it with black tights, small black heels and a cream cardigan, the perfect winter outfit!
I have matched my coat with this lovely checked scarf that I also got for Christmas last year. It is quite a bright scarf with some bright yellow and greens, but for some reason, it looks amazing with so many different outfits! I either wear it just over my shoulders (around my neck) or wrap it once around my neck if I'm feeling extra cold! I think this was £16, but Topshop get new scarfs in all the time so you'll always be able to find something new!

My face makeup
Firstly I start off by using my concealer. I feel that concealer is key with any makeup look as it basically fills in any blemishes you have and covers up and dark or blotchy patches of skin. Personally, I always start with my concealer first as I feel it gives me a nice base to start with and gets rid of any spots, under-eye circles etc... I apply concealer to 3 parts of my face. The first being under and around my eyes as this helps delete dark circles. The second place is around my nose or any other red patches on my face, and the last place is on any spots or blemishes. I am currently using the 'lasting perfection' concealer by Collection and I have repurchased this item 3 times and I am still in love with it. It has great coverage and doesn't look too cakey.
Next, I use my liquid foundation and apply this all over my face (not my eyelids) as this really evens out my skin tone and gives me a nice area to apply the rest of my makeup too. I don't think that using foundation is essential if you have good skin as it is only really evening out your face. There are so many brands of foundation and I have tried lots of different ones out, from Rimmel to Japonesque. The one i am using at the moment is the 'Illuminous foundation' by Japonesque, as it has good coverage, although can be quite dewy when it is very hot.
Now I would powder my face using the Rimmel 'Stay Matte powder' as this gives my face a lovely, matte finish which gives me a much nicer surface to apply blush, bronzer etc... I think that everyone should have some sort of powder in their everyday makeup as it really helps to set your makeup and gives it a much nicer finish. I t can also make your makeup last a lot longer as it locks the foundation and concealer in place.
I now use blusher on the tops of my cheek bones to add some colour to my face. Blusher is a lovely way to help define your features and ass a nice shimmer to your face. I am using the Topshop blush called 'Do it again' and this is a really lovely colour as it has a shimmery undertone, which is perfect for winter. Again, like the foundation, this is not essential, but it does add colour and can make you look more alive (even if you're not!)
Lastly, I use a bronzer to define my cheekbones and add some depth to my face. I really love using bronzer as you can use it is lots of different places to define all your features. I just add it along my cheekbones, on my temple and around my jawline. I find that it accentuates my features making them look more pronounced. I use a the Bourjois Delice de poudre which is also lovely bronzer as it is very pigmented and goes on really easily!
So I hope that you enjoyed reading my favourite face makeup products, and I also hope that it helps you to but the right things for your face! Obviously my makeup changes all the time, depending on the occasion, but this is just what I would wear normally, but you can add and take bits away as you please! 'Supercat' VS 'They're Real! Push up liner'
Soap and Glory SUPERCAT
Lets start off with the 'Supercat' felt tip eyeliner pen by Soap and Glory (which I did previously mention in my last post). This is a lovely product as it easily slides across your eye with ease, and the colour comes out really well as you don't have to apply hundreds of layers for the colour to show well. Personally, I find that felt tip eyeliners are so much easier to apply than gel/liquid liner as it takes no time at all and you pretty much get a perfect line every time! (with a tiny bit of practice of course) Also if you are just starting out with makeup and you want to use eyeliner to add some definition to your eyes, then a felt tip is easy to use and doesn't take long to apply. One thing I would say about this product is that it is not water-proof, which is a positive and negative all in one. I'd say it was negative because if you are in the rain or you get a bit sweaty during the day, it does smudge quite easily which can ultimately end up ruining your makeup look, which none of us want to happen... However, saying this, it can be positive because it is extremely easy to wash/clean off and you don't have to scrub your eyes for ages, you just use your normal makeup remover, or even just wash your face with water and soap. This product cost only cost me £4 in a special deal, but it is normally £6 which is amazing for the quality of this product.
Benefit They're Real! Push-up liner
Now, moving on to Benefits 'Push-up liner'. I got this present for my birthday back in June and I really do love it. It has a specially designed 'lash-hugging tip' which helps get the liner as close to your eye as possible, making it reasonably easy application. I used this product all over summer when it was very hot and the eyeliner did not budge. It stays on all day no problem as it is very waterproof. However, There I do have some negative points. Firstly, to remove this product, you need the special 'They're Real! remover' which luckily I got as part of my birthday present, but normally it costs you another good £14.50 which, lets face it, it pretty ridiculous. Then you have to add the cost of the liner which is £18.50 here in the UK to the price of the remover which gives you a grand total of £33. Don't get me wrong, I love benefit products, but £33 for one eyeliner and a remover is just silly. Also, it says that this product is very easy to use... but I'd have to disagree. I find when applying it, it tugs at my skin when trying to get the right sort of line, which in the long-term could damage the skin on your eyelids. So my verdict is that it is a good product and I'm very glad I have it, but for the price, I'm not 100% sure its worth it.So, I love both these products for different reasons, as the supercat liner is very easy to apply and has a lovely finish, but the push-up liner is waterproof making it easier to wear in hot weather. Overall if I had to choose between these two liners, I would defiantly go with the soap and glory liner as it is much cheaper and I feel as if you get a lot more for your money than the benefit one.
